The Bishops’ High School Old Students’ Association is the association of alumni of the Bishops’ High School. BHSOSA was formed in 1933 by the then Headmistress, Mrs Wearn. It is a non-governmental, not for profit, charitable incorporated body.

Our Goals

To encourage and foster the interest of alumni in the present day activities and aspirations of the School especially in contributions for the benefit of the School.

To make some contribution in the sphere of education by giving help primarily to the school and to the community in general.

To help alumni maintain the ties of friendship garnered through their years at the school.

Our Executive Body

The authority of BHSOSA shall be vested in the Executive Committee, elected by members at the Annual General Meeting for a term of one (1) year and shall not be eligible to serve more than three (3) consecutive terms in the same office.

The Executive Committee shall comprise of the following offices:

In execution of its functions, the Committee of Management may establish Sub-Committees for such defined purposes and objectives. All persons ought to be financial members in good standing.

The Executive Committee meets once on a month to organize programmes, fundraisers and projects for the benefit of the Bishops’ High School.

Membership

Full Membership of the Association shall be open to all who have been past pupils of the schoo1. Student Membership is open to all sixth formers of the School. There shall be membership fees which shall be determined by the General Membership at an Annual General Meeting of the Association and due and payable on a yearly basis.

Since the establishment of BHSOSA, overseas alumni associations, informally called ‘Chapters’, have been established:-

  2. The Bishops’ High School Alumni Association – New York Tri-State Chapter
  3. The Bishops’ High School Alumni Association – Toronto Chapter
  4. The Bishops’ High School (Guyana) Alumni Association- T&T Chapter
  5. The Bishops’ High School Alumni Association – Atlanta, Georgia

All of these associations collaborate with BHSOSA in the mutual purpose of support for the Bishops’ High School.
